Community Centre in South East / South Central
It seems everything has been about growth in subdivisions pushing north and meanwhile existing facilities are ancient and inadequate for the population.

New facilities proposed as part of the South Central Public Lands Study include a community centre, pool and park space and will be considered as part of the 10-year capital budget forecast this summer. We are also looking at opportunities to revitalize our downtown. Our Downtown Oakville Strategic Review (http://www.oakville.ca/business/downtown-oakville-strategic-review.html) highlights some of the key initiatives we will be implementing over the next two years.

It is a shame that the oldest part of Oakville has no community centre, and the town theatre and pool are run down and not appropriate for a town of this size.
