A connected and diverse open space system
Oakville is blessed with many natural features. Maintaining the ability of the public to use the many valleys, by creating 'green' trails (as the Town has encouraged over the years) makes it a comfortable, attractive and humane place to live.

We couldn’t agree more. Trails are a critical part of our Livable Oakville plan. Our trails include multi-use trails, major trails and minor trails, as well as a network of on-road cycle lanes and bike routes. Check out what we’re planning for north Oakville! We don’t want anyone crossing four lanes of traffic without a crosswalk or light either - there is a set of lights located at Valhalla Court and Bronte Road, approximately 44 metres from Donavan Bailey Park.

I find it difficult to watch children and adults using Donovan Bailey Park as a walk/bike trail and have to cross 4 lanes of traffic without the benefit of a crosswalk or light.
